Room was quiet with a nice view overlooking a major plaza. Bed was very comfortable and the quality and variety of the breakfast was excellent.

Upgraded our room without asking. Great coffee.

We were surprised that the staff recommends you don't walk the streets after 8pm. Very nice breakfast buffet.

Was a little disappointed that the photos of the hotel do not match the reality. The photos show old colonial style decor and palm court scenery but the reality is a very modern hotel . Shame as it has lost a lot of its character and history

Very nice hotel, though downtown did not compare to the tourist locations of course. The buffet at breakfast was one of the best I have ever had.

This hotel was historic and had it's charm. We were in a room that on the interior of the hotel so with no air conditioning and also no ventilation it was rather muggy. The second night we asked to move to an outside room which was much better and it had a great view over looking the plaza so we could see and hear the night life. I really liked this part of San Jose.
