The beds were not as comfortable as we like (too hard).
There was one spot in the room with some sand on the floor.
The restaurant we really enjoyed.

The Hotel Don Carlos exceeded our expectations. Beautiful and full of history, with excellent helpful staff and lovely complementary cocktails to set a festive tone to our vacation. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast!

A lovely quirly hotel in a nice area away from the noisy busy city centre. The food was good although the breakfast was not great, not much choice. It made a nice change to get 3 beds instead of 2 doubles, the kids appreciated not having to share again!

The service was excellent and the front desk was very helpful in helping us navigate the city. However, the beds were very hard and sleeping was difficult.

The hotel had bad showerheads and didnt have hot water. There were ants and they didnt leave 4 towels for the 4 ppl in the room. This could have been done better.

The common areas of the hotel were cute. The staff very friendly and helpful. Our room needed updated furnishings though, such as bedding and towels. We did love the location of it though.

WIFI was sporadic, but they had a computer that guest could use. Staff was helpful in suggesting activities to do around San Jose. It was a little weird that the bathroom had a window to the hallway, but overall a nice hotel. Loved all the décor.
