Overview

La Quinta Country Inn is a rainforest eco-lodge and reserve located in the Sarapiqui region, which has received the maximum 5-leaf rating in the national Sustainable Tourism Certification program. This 10 acre property works hard to be in complete harmony with nature and leave little or no negative impact on the environment. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, frog garden, butterfly garden, and internet.

In Sarapiqui you can enjoy rafting, tubing, safari floating, safari motor boat tours, horseback rides, canopy zip lining, night tours in the forest, waterfalls and more! Other educational activities are available such as well, like the world famous La Selva Biological Reserve, pineapple tour, chocolate tour, palm hear tour or coffee tour, where you can learn the entire process of bringing some of your favorite foods to the table; with taste testing,  of course.

At La Quinta, there is plenty to do without even leaving the property. Guests are encouraged to take a self-guided tour through the lodge’s trails to the gallery, frog gardens, ant trails, vegetable garden, medicinal plants garden, the butterfly house, the reforestation project, the ponds, and the Sardinal River.  Or play in the refreshing swimming pool. Afterwards, sign up for a soothing spa treatment. Breakfast is not included, but there is a full restaurant where you can choose to have any of your meals. Dinner served buffet style and includes a fresh salad bar, 2 main dish options, 6 side dishes, bread or tortillas, coffee, tea, and dessert.  All dishes are prepared with local, fresh ingredients.

La Quinta has 28 bungalows nestled in the rainforest, each of which is elegantly decorated and well-maintained. Most rooms are wheelchair accessible. And a separate area called Kinkajou town, with 6 rooms designed for student, research, and team building groups.

The bungalows feature private bathrooms with hot water and hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, walk in closet, safe, and a thatched roof porch facing to the gardens with hammocks and rocking chairs, to enjoy the sights and sounds of the surrounding gardens.

The Kinkajou rooms feature several twin beds and 2 bathrooms/ showers each, hair dryer, air conditioning and fans, closets, and a porch facing the Sardinal River. Kinkajou also has its own recreational area, with pool, multifunctional field and a meeting room.

La Quinta is perfect for nature lovers looking for an upscale and completely sustainable experience in the jungles of Costa Rica; singles, couples, families, and even student groups on a budget; in the separate kinkajou town.
