This guided hike for guests staying at the Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel will take you into the El Silencio Cloud Forest private reserve to look for the Resplendent Quetzal as well as other rare and interesting wildlife. Home to many species of orchids, reptiles, interesting insects and many mammals such as monkeys, sloths, peccaries and jaguars (usually nocturnal), the cloud forest hosts a huge diversity of wildlife for the nature enthusiast. You will go on an easy to moderate 2-mile hike for approximately 2 hours on well-maintained natural trials at an elevation of approximately 2,300 feet. At the end, you will visit a research station with displays of delicate butterflies, beetles, and other insects with information about their importance in the circle of cloud forest life. This tour is only offered to guests staying at the Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel and includes admission fees plus a certified Greentique professional bilingual guide. There is NO Transportation needed since it is an in-house tour. Please wear fully enclosed hiking shoes and long pants. You will want to bring insect repellent, rain gear, drinking water plus your binoculars and camera. There is a presence in the cloud forest that can only be felt by being there. The Catamaran Cruise is a great way to observe tropical islands, marine life and the beautiful Pacific coastline in style! After cruising along and taking in the scenery we will stop to snorkel. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, sea turtles and various tropical fish species making this a highlight for many! This fun filled half day excursion includes transportation, drinks and a meal.

It is important to mention that between the months of May to November there is usually a period of rain in the area so the Catamaran services will be offered exclusively during the morning.
