This exciting itinerary will send you on epic adventures through remote countryside and landscapes that few know how to seek and find!

The adventure begins when you arrive at Liberia Airport, where you’ll meet our representative and be on your way. We’ll provide a private transfer through the countryside to Hacienda Guachipelin Lodge, in the shadow of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. Hacienda Guachipelin, an authentic working ranch and nature preserve, will be your base for activities during the next few days. While there, you’ll experience awesome adventures including a Canopy Zipline Adventure over a natural canyon, plus a Whitewater Tubing Adventure through the same canyon down the Rio Negro. You’ll also have plenty of ME TIME to explore the Rincon de la Vieja area as well. If you’d like to add even more activities, we’d recommend checking out their tour list which includes local cultural experiences, hikes, hot springs, waterfalls, or the nearby national park.
Next up, we’ll provide a transfer sending you down to the southernmost tip of the scenic Nicoya Peninsula, where you’ll be staying in a bungalow at the Manala Hotel on Santa Teresa Beach. No activities are planned, just giving you a few days of relaxation and fun in the sun. Despite its small size and remote location, Santa Teresa is a top Costa Rica surfing destination, known for its bohemian vibe and beautiful beaches. If you’re an experienced surfer, you’ll enjoy some of the country’s best and most consistent breaks. If you’re new to surfing, you may want to add on a surf lesson. Don’t forget your yoga mat as there are many yoga studios available in the area. And of course, bring plenty of sunblock for enjoying this tropical paradise!
Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica and on to Hacienda Guachipelin Lodge at Rincon de la Vieja Volcano!
We’ll meet you at Liberia International Airport and then provide a private transfer to Hacienda Guachipelin at Rincon de la Vieja.
Day 2: Canyon Canopy Zipline Tour (B)
You’ll go on a thrilling Canopy Zipline Adventure over the awesome Rio Negro Canyon. Afterwards, be sure to enjoy the swimming pool and extensive grounds at Hacienda Guachipelin.
Day 3: Rio Negro Tubing Tour (B)
Whitewater Tubing shooting down the Rio Negro rapids surrounded by high canyon walls is certain to be one of your favorite memories!
Day 4: Transfer to Santa Teresa and Check-in at the Manala Hotel (B)
You’ll go from the tropical dry forests of Rincon de la Vieja to the coastal beaches of Santa Teresa. The drive will take you through rural countryside and villages that few tourists take the opportunity to see. At Santa Teresa, you’ll stay in a bungalow at the Manala Hotel.
Days 5 & 6: Beach Days at Santa Teresa (B)
Enjoy a couple of days at the laid back beaches of Santa Teresa where you can explore the area on your own. If you’re looking for action, we’d recommend going surfing or taking surf lessons, or maybe joining up for a few yoga sessions.
Day 7: Back to Reality… (B)
As your vacation comes to a close, we’ll be providing you with a private transfer back to the Liberia International Airport according to your flight schedule.
