Lake Arenal, starting from the shores of Arenal Volcano, extends about 35 miles northwest surrounded by lush green rolling hills with a scenic mountainous background. Besides passing through on the beautiful lake road, visitors often come to the area to go fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, birdwatching, and even to explore a nearby cave.

La Mansion’s restaurant presents a complimentary breakfast to its guests and is open as well for lunch and dinner. Both the restaurant and bar share the same bucolic lake views as the individual cottages.

Each cottage offers its own charm, uniquely decorated in baroque fashion reminiscent of Italy and Bombay, India. Artisan designed wrought ironwork is found throughout from bed frames to chandeliers. Reading lights are positioned on both sides of king beds. Doorways are arched, bathrooms are tiled, and skilled mural artwork grace the walls reflecting the native flora and fauna seen locally.

All cottages offer both air conditioning and ceiling fans (see full list of amenities below) and some have either indoor or outdoor private Jacuzzis. Many have a full bath with tub. All boast natural stone patios with rocking chairs. There is one Honeymoon Suite with indoor jacuzzi, and both the Queen and Royal Cottage can sleep up to six people.
