Just because the sun went down doesn’t mean you cannot explore the jungle! If you are looking for a fun, nighttime activity during your time in Dominical, this is an excellent choice.
This overnight night hike will take you on a true jungle adventure that you will probably never forget. Strap on your hiking boots and bring along your sense of adventure as you hike through the beautiful and rustic Costa Rican jungle in both the daytime and night. Your guide will ensure that this tour is both fun and educational by pointing out exotic creatures and sharing fun facts about Costa Rica.When you reach the Hacienda your group will come together and meet your guide. You’ll start the hike with your group in the daylight and your guide will point out interesting plants and wildlife on your way through the trail. When you reach the jungle camp you’ll get to relax, watch the beautiful sunset and listen to the birds singing as they settle down to sleep. Soon after, your guides will serve a delicious typical Costa Rican dinner and you will have a chance to get to know everyone in your group.
After dinner, your guides will take you on a night hike to show you just how different the forest looks at night. Your guide will point out all of the nocturnal creatures that normally come out at night including spiders, red eyed tree frogs, snakes and other interesting insects. You may also see birds sleeping peacefully in the trees.
When your hike comes to an end you will all make your way back to the base camp where you will sleep in a comfortable tent camp equipped with a toilet and a shower. This is a unique experience because you will be immersed in the true rainforest during the night and get to fall asleep to the roaring sounds of the jungle.
Breakfast will be served the next morning after which your group will hike back down to the beginning of the tour before 10am.
Please bring a change of clothes, personal items, water for the hike up, bug repellent and a flashlight. This overnight tour includes professional guides, dinner, breakfast, one night accommodation in the tent camp, and the night hike tour.
