Costa Rica Beaches

With well over 700 combined miles of coastline on the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea, Costa Rica offers a wide variety of beaches. One can visit white sand beaches such as Playa Conchal or Flamingo. Those that prefer black sand can go to Playa Negra. If you are looking for a laidback local spot, try Montezuma or Playa Samara. Check out the beaches of Manuel Antonio or Cahuita if you want to spot wildlife in a family friendly environment. Jaco, Tamarindo, Dominical, Mal Pais and Puerto Viejo are all hot spots when the surf's up. This is but a small sample of the many and varied options that are available.
