Playa Coco, Costa Rica (Coco Beach) is a priveleged area, approximately 30 kilometers from Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia. It is considered an adults playground, and not particularly family friendly. The area is famous for it's calm waters, beautiful beaches, and sprawling resorts.
Playa Coco is located in the northwest corner of Costa Rica in the Guanacaste Province. The climate in this region is the dryest in the country. The weather in Coco Beach is fairly predictable. Weather is best from December through April, during the dry season months. The months of May through November generally experience higher rainfall totals, with the highest amounts received between August through September.

Though many come to Playa Coco for the beautiful beaches and nightlife, several Costa Rica attractions are close by. These attractions include Rincon de la Vieja Volcano and national park to the northwest. Santa Rosa National Park is also located within a short drive. Palo Verde is great option for birdwatchers.
