Costa Rica April Weather:
As in March, there is little rain in Costa Rica during the month of April. That is true of most all regions! April is one of the “dry season” months and one of the truly enjoyable months to travel in all of Costa Rica. As Easter sometimes falls in April, this can be a very popular month to travel to Costa Rica. It is therefore important to make your reservations early.
The Pacific Coastal region and lowlands remain very dry with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s. The San Jose and central valley remain mostly rain free with temperatures about 10 degrees cooler than the lowlands. Monteverde and mountainous regions can be 20 or more degrees cooler. On the Caribbean coast you will have sunny days, but always expect an afternoon or evening shower.
Costa Rica April Reservations:
With Easter the first Sunday in April this year, we cannot stress enough how important it is to book EARLY! Many Ticos are on vacation this month and children will be out of school for vacation. On top of that, it is still high season. Hotels with the best values and best accommodations will be booked months in advance.
Costa Rica April Costs:
Pricing will be high season prices and also reflect the Easter Holiday. To get best value book early before price increases and before hotels with best value fill up.
