Costa Rica June

Costa Rica June Weather:

Most of Costa Rica is in the rainy season (or green season) in June.  Even the northern Pacific Coast will see rain in the afternoon or early evening hours.  Temperatures remain high (up to the low 90’s), so the afternoon rains can be a welcome relief.  As in all months, the temperatures remain mostly constant with the temperature determined by the elevation.  So San Jose will be about 10 degrees cooler than lowland coastal areas, and higher mountain elevations 20 or more degrees cooler.

The Caribbean coastal area will have the afternoon and overnight showers, but usually not continuous rain all day.  Keep raingear handy in all parts of Costa Rica during the month of June, but especially in the Caribbean coastal areas. The temperatures can get high and with the humidity will seem even higher. But you will be able to cool off on the beautiful beaches as days usually start with some sun.

Another “hot and steamy” region in June is the Osa Peninsula - often called the “jungle” region! But again, days will usually start out with sunshine and temperatures will rise into the nineties with the welcome rains starting in late afternoon and evening.

Costa Rica June Reservations:

Although green season traveling is becoming more popular, you can still enjoy green season pricing without booking months in advance.  The best deals at the best hotels do go quickly, so it is still advisable to not wait till the last minute to book

Costa Rica June Costs:

Green season pricing is usually 20-40% below high season pricing and our company often offers special deals.  These deals are limited, so don’t wait too long.
