Costa Rica March

Costa Rica March Weather:

Most all of Costa Rica is now well into the “dry season”(even the Caribbean side!).  With Easter sometimes falling in March and the weather so perfect in all of Costa Rica, you can expect many tourist and need to make your reservations well in advance!

The dry weather and high temperatures (mid 80’s to mid 90’s) continue along the Pacific Coast and lowlands, with the cooler temperatures (10-20 degrees less) in the central valley and higher elevations. The temperatures along the Caribbean coast are much the same as the Pacific coast.

You can basically plan on lots of sunshine and warm to hot temperatures in most of Costa Rica in March, with  cooler temperatures in the Central and higher elevations.  Although it is always good to have some raingear packed, you probably won’t need to unpack it!

Costa Rica March Reservations:

With Easter falling in early April many tourist will be coming to Costa Rica in March (especially the end of March).  March is still in full high season and hotels book months in advance. It is not too early to book a full year ahead for any time around the Easter season, as many Ticos also have vacations at this time and school children are off.

Costa Rica March Costs:

Prices will be high season prices and it is best to reserve as far in advance as you can to beat price increases and to get the best value for your money.  Hotels with the best rates fill up early!
