Today you’ll be taken to Tamarindo to learn how to surf! Surfing is fun for people of all ages who know how to swim and are physically fit. This tour includes a professional surf instructor, high quality surf board, bottled water and transportation from Flamingo, JW Marriot Guanacaste and Tamarindo. If you are staying in Tamarindo, you may get picked up on ATVs so please make a note if you would like to make other arrangements. One way transportation can take from 15 to 45 from your hotel to the beach, depending on your pick-up location. Combined time of transportation and surf lesson can be between 2.5 and 3 hours. Please bring your bathing suit, towel, sun protection and a rash guard. Rash guards (water shirts) are available to rent from your surf school instructor if you should choose to rent one. Stand Up Paddle boarding is one of the newest and most popular water sports since it is so easy to learn. Typically you’ll be taken to Playa Carrillo where you’ll be taught to stand up on a board - similar to a surfboard- and use a long paddle to proper yourself along. You don’t need to be experienced to try this fun sport, with just a little balance and patience, you’ll likely be paddling like a pro in no time. This approximate 2.5 hour adventure includes transportation from your hotel in Samara, Nosara, or Punta Islita, as well as paddling instructions, equipment, bilingual guide, and fruit and a cold drink. One way transportation to the beach can take up to 30 minutes depending on the location of your hotel.
