Cahuita, Costa Rica is located on the southeast side of the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica in the Limon Province. The small town is fairly safe and family friendly. Cahuita is known for it's laid back reggae vibe. There is always a party to be found or a shady palm to rest under. Cahuita is also known for it's beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches.
As Cahuita is located on the Southern Caribbean coast, the weather can be fairly unpredictable. Unlike the rest of the country, this area does not experience the normal rain and dry seasons. The best weather in the Southern Caribbean area can be experienced during the months of February through April, then again in September and October.
