Nosara, Costa Rica is known for it's casual, laid back, hippie vibe. In general the town is an adults playground, and not particularly family friendly. There is always a party to be found, wave to catch or a shady palm to relax under in Nosara. The surfing here is phenomenal. The white sand beaches are great to relax on, but not exactly conducive to swimming.
Nosara is located on the west coast of the Nicoya Peninsula approximately 60 kilometers south of Liberia in the Guanacaste Province. The weather in Nosara is fairly predictable. Weather is best from December through April, during the dry season months. The months of May through November generally experience higher rainfall totals, with the highest amounts received between August through September.
