The Gulf of Papagayo, Costa Rica is in a priveleged area that is close to Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia. This area is famous for it's calm waters, beautiful beaches, and sprawling resorts. Recently, a new marina was constructed to house luxury yachts in the Gulf of Papagayo.
The Gulf of Papagayo is located in the northwest corner of Costa Rica in the Guanacaste Province. The climate in this region is the dryest in the country. The weather in the Gulf of Papagayo is fairly predictable. Weather is best from December through April, during the dry season months. The months of May through November generally experience higher rainfall totals, with the highest amounts received between August through September.

Though many come to the Gulf of Papagayo to be luxuriously pampered in the All Inclusive resorts, several Costa Rica attractions are close by. These attractions include Rincon de la Vieja Volcano and national park to the northwest. Santa Rosa National Park is also located within a short drive. Palo Verde is great option for birdwatchers.
