Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica (Flamingo Beach) is a priveleged area that is approximately 45 kilometers to Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia. This beach side community is a family friendly resort area. Playa Flamingo is famous for it's calm waters, beautiful beaches, and sprawling resorts.

Playa Flamingo is located in northwest Costa Rica in the Guanacaste Province. The weather in Flamingo Beach is fairly predictable. Weather is best from December through April, during the dry season months. The months of May through November generally experience higher rainfall totals, with the highest amounts received between August through September.

Though many come to the Playa Flamingo to be luxuriously pampered in the All Inclusive resorts, several Costa Rica attractions are close by. These attractions include Rincon de la Vieja Volcano and national park to the northwest. Santa Rosa National Park is also located within a short drive. Palo Verde is great option for birdwatchers. Ostional Widlife Refuge and Playa Grande are primary nesting areas for Olive Ridley Turtles and the giant Leatherback Turtles.
