There is one main road in Playa Santa Teresa that runs parallel with the ocean. The road continues on to Mal Pais.
Playa Santa Teresa is located on the southern Nicoya Peninsula in the Province of Puntarenas. The climate in this region is among the dryest in the country. The weather in Playa Santa Teresa is fairly predictable. Weather is best from December through April, during the dry season months. The months of May through November generally experience higher rainfall totals, with the highest amounts received between August through September.
