Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica (Tamarindo Beach) is priveleged in proximity to Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, at only 69 kilometers. This is considered to be an adults playground and semi family friendly. The white sands, tropical feel, and combination of both good swimming and surfing draws thousands annually. For these reasons, Tamarindo is one of Costa Rica's most popular beaches.

Playa Tamarindo is located in the nortwest section of Costa Rica in the Guanacaste Province. The weather in Tamarindo Beach is fairly predictable. Weather is best from December through April, during the dry season months. The months of May through November generally experience higher rainfall totals, with the highest amounts received between August through September.

Though many come to the Playa Tamarindo for the beaches, several Costa Rica attractions are close by. These attractions include Rincon de la Vieja Volcano and national park to the northwest. Santa Rosa National Park is also located within a short drive. Palo Verde is great option for birdwatchers. Ostional Widlife Refuge and Playa Grande are primary nesting areas for Olive Ridley Turtles and the giant Leatherback Turtles.
