Xandari Resort’s individually designed villas are aesthetically pleasing, spacious and feature enchanting views of Central Valley, pool, and grounds.
There are four main Prima villas with 500 square feet of spacious living area. These are located within a building of two to four villas with private terraces and panoramic views of Central Valley. Each terrace is furnished with a desk, table and chairs as well as chaise lounges. Within your villa you will find mini-kitchens, mini bars, dishes, glasses, coffee maker and complimentary selection of coffee, teas, snacks, juices and water. All villas include a security safe, hair dryer, iron, telephone, alarm clock.
Prima Villa Plus, Prima Ultra and Prima Ultra Plus are varying sizes of individually designed villas which will make any one of them a unique and exciting place to stay. Some are stand-alone villas and have varying views. All offer luxury amenities and tropical décor.
A recent addition is the beautifully appointed Star Villa which features a covered terrace with full view of swimming pool and Central Valley. The largest of the villas includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a salon, dining room, full kitchen and office within the 1420 square foot villa.

We really didn't get long enough at this hotel, maybe next time. It was very beautiful. The view from the balcony at night was spectacular.

The view from Xandari looking out over San Jose at night is Spectacular. The views of the surrounding mountains are vast. We liked the nearness to the airport. We arrived on time & had lunch as the rains started, so we enjoyed the view from our room as we settled in on Tuesday. The rooms are bright & colorful & the grounds are well maintained with marked paths. We did not get to explore the grounds much as we had a tour on Wednesday & another on Thursday which carried us to our next destination of Peace Lodge. We want to go back to Xandari & enjoy/explore the grounds & lap pool.

The hiking trails on the hotel grounds were an unexpected treat so close to the city on our last day. The trails gave us something active to do before we went home. The concierge offered us boxed breakfasts since we were leaving at 2:30 AM. This was really fantastic!

The property is spectacular, and we enjoyed very much the steep walks to the waterfalls and the gorgeous views. It's very interesting and many of the plants were labled, which is wonderful. The room was spacious and well appointed, but our terrace only had one chair, and my bed was not make properly. I awoke in the night to find ants crawling all over the bathroom. I alerted the staff and the woman on duty told me that the ants were coming from the outside, probably for something sweet on the floor. This tells me the room was not properly cleaned (which I suspected from my ill made bed). The restaurant view was gorgeous, but the food was lacking in quality and preparation. My salad was presented in a ridiculous configuration, and the shrimp cocktail was basically inedible. I had a piece, and my daughter tried a piece, and the rest sat on the plate. If the wait staff had been better I would have been able to order something else in a timely manner, but as it was, our waitress only returned after my daughter finished her steak. The horribly overcooked and overpriced shrimp cocktail should have been immediately removed from my bill, but it was not. Only after complaining to three people did they offer to take 15% of the price of the dish. I would recommend that guests eat elsewhere for dinner, and that they check their beds upon arrival. We also had to wait 30 minutes before we were able to get in our room. The so called "warm pool" was not warm at all. The staff was accommodating, but I felt like they did not really care. While the grounds are amazing, I could not in good faith recommend this hotel.

This was fine for one night... it's sort of an ugly hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff was super friendly, room was clean, food was good, the property/view was gorgeous. The bed wasn't super comfortable.

Our best and most enjoyable experience...we were glad this was our last stop. Being close to airport a bonus, but really this was our favorite...Room, gardens, trails, orchards, staff,
and food.

We are glad we stayed two days! The food was really good and the accommodations very nice. We walked the trails, but not as far as the waterfalls! We set up an excursion to Doka Estates and the driver was very nice and joined us for the buffet lunch there. The resort was somewhere we would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

This was beautiful resort! Incredible grounds and views, and beautiful rooms, great food. I would highly recommend this for a day before departing Costa Rica. Very close to airport.
