Hotel Lands in Love

Set in the rolling green mountains between San Ramon and La Fortuna, Hotel Lands in Love provides a unique experience for ecotourists. The 280 acres of environmental and animal-friendly eco-resort is set in a valley between unspoiled rain and cloud forests. Hotel amenities include a swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, hiking trails, conference room, and the internet.

The owners of Hotel Lands in Love are a group of 19 friends that are animal lovers, vegans, and originally from Israel. When they came to Costa Rica, they brought all of their belongings, including some 50 cats and 30 dogs. The hotel remains pet-friendly, so if you love your pets, you are headed to the right place!

Lands in Love is also an Adventure Center, so there is no shortage of fun things to do. They feature one of the longest canopy zipline courses in Costa Rica, horseback riding, canyoning, hiking trails, birdwatching, and more! While we do not consider this an Arenal Volcano hotel, it is located within 45 minutes of La Fortuna town, the iconic volcano, and several hot springs resorts.

Rooms at Lands in Love are well-appointed with cable television, mini-fridge, phone, and great views. Air-conditioning is not installed as this highland, mountainous area is usually cool. Check our Amenities Section for a comprehensive list of items found in the rooms.

The restaurant offers a wide selection of healthy international plates including vegan, celiac gluten free, weight watchers, kosher, and more. Don't expect any meat, though, as this is an animal-friendly zone!
