The pool is the best thing about this place. It is clean, comfortable and nice place to relax. Since Jaco beach is mainly for surfers, this is the main advantage of this hotel. On the down side, the place is very dated and small. We felt cramped. Bedspreads, towels and furnishings were threadbare. They were renovating, which is good, but we had to listen to construction on the roof for 2 days. The breakfast was adequate, but service was lacking. I always got my own coffee. The manager and service staff only came to clear your plate when you were done. This kind of service just didn't match with the rest of our experience with
Tradewinds.
