Papagayo Golden Palms

The Papagayo Golden Palms is a beachfront resort where you can enjoy a quiet and relaxed experience while touring the province of Guanacaste in Costa Rica's Pacific Northwest. Villa-style rooms are a good choice for singles, couples, and small families on a medium budget. A landscaped path leads to a wide promenade along the beach, in the Gulf of Papagayo. Along this remote natural beach area there is no commercial activity. You can also take a dip in the large modern swimming pool and lounge on the patio loungers under the palm trees. A buffet breakfast is included in the hotel stay and the hotel restaurant serves a fusion of tasty dishes for both lunch and dinner at a reasonable price.

The hotel is located just 30 minutes from the Liberia International Airport in Playa Panama, the excellent location of the hotel allows guests to visit the nearby beaches of Playa Hermosa and Playa Coco offer surfing, snorkeling, sport fishing, ice cream parlors, bars, and restaurants. Some people prefer to be on the rocky dark sand beach in front of the hotel to swim, make use of kayaks, paddleboard, and exercise on the sand.

During your stay at the hotel, you're likely to see (and hear!) the howler monkeys that live in the surrounding trees. These little monkeys, which are usually in groups, will surprise you with their loud voice and family antics. Tropical flowers abound in the gardens where the villas are located. A large swimming pool, located in the extensive courtyard that extends from the restaurant and bar area, invites you to relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean waves. In the air-conditioned bar, you will find tropical fruit cocktails prepared to perfection. The open-air, thatched-roof Arenas restaurant offers a touch of tropical elegance with tablecloths, fresh flowers, and beach views. A free buffet breakfast is served each morning. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers a fusion of reasonably priced menu options that include fresh, locally sourced seafood as well as typical Costa Rica dishes.
