We liked Selva Verde very much but I think there are a couple of things that people staying there should be aware of. 1. We assumed (and this is on us!) that it would be easy to get taxis from the hotel to nearby places to eat and this is REALLY not the case (65 USD return from the hotel to Puerto Viejo). So people should be aware that you're probably going to eat in the hotel most, if not all of the time (fortunately the food is really pretty good, if a little expensive). 2. The bungalows are a good 10 minutes walk from the main resort up a path through the rainforest that is really very dark at night so perhaps not for the faint-hearted. By the way, I notice that our rafting tour is missing from this feedback form. Just to say that it was a great tour! However, the voucher says to bring lots of stuff - change of clothes and towel etc. - but there really is no need if you're staying at Selva Verde, since the rafting finishes very close to the hotel.

Tours on the property were ok, depended on the guide. Would have like to have gone into more depth. Pizza only available at dinner time, should be available at lunch. Maybe some more food options.

This was a top destination for us, again because of the varity of birds we observed..Food was excellent and the Italian restaurant was our choice for dinner each evening.
