What a great hotel, with another great ocean view. There was a huge Howler Monkey with two smaller ones on the roof right outside our balcony! Best seat in the house. Hotel had many pools and options for meals. Loved taking long beach walks after a delicious breakfast. Great location as well. May be my new favourite spot as there were so many spots to enjoy the sunset, listen to live music and great meals! Great location!

The resort itself is clean and the staff friendly. Because of the size of the resort they sometimes lose out on the personalized touches that smaller resorts may be able to offer. The surfing rentals onsite are very good prices.

The Diria is a beautiful resort and we had an excellent view of the ocean from our sunset room. The only consideration was that the room was a bit outdated and small. Also there was no water stations available to refill our water bottles, we had to ask at the bar each time. Overall, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was really good and we had direct access to the beach.

Our room was not cleaned and made up. We called the front desk and stopped by the desk as well to request maid service. Finally, someone came after 6 pm and took our trash and gave us some towels.

This hotel has made some nice improvements and we loved being between the pool and the ocean. We did have problems getting our luggage upstairs. No elevator. I suggest indicating to your clients this information ahead of time. The hotel did not offer to have anyone help us.

Recommend upgrade to sunset ocean view, so on beach side. Location great to walk to area restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed walks on beach. Go next door for happy hour ( 2 for 1 drinks!!) and fire show. Hotel should get rid of key cards, hard to keep track of, and instead get wrist fobs.

They had no water station, so if bar was open, no water. Keep water available after breakfast!
Closing times for their nearby eateries were misleading or wrong.
Housekeeping moved all our bathroom supplies around, which was not acceptable. They also dropped one of our toothbrushes down the sink drain and didn't mention it. We saw it, sitting deep in the drain.

This hotel was just ok for us. Very nice location and great sunset view. But it is very big, busy, very touristy, very expensive. This was our least favorite part of the trip.

The main parts of the hotel (lobby/pools/bar/restaurant) were beautiful. We had an ocean view room. The first one we had was somewhat run down and had a bad smell to it. It was right at the end near a bar that blasted music in the evenings, so we were unable to sit out on our balcony (it was so loud we coudln't hear one another). There was also a great deal of construction going on in the building. We asked to change rooms away from the bar. The second room we had was much nicer. It was a little bigger/in better condition and we were able to enjoy our evenings on the balcony. The one woman working at the front desk, Maylen, was very nice and helpful. I don't feel like all the front staff workers were as helpful. We enjoyed the pools, the beach, the bar. We liked being near the town. We do think this was a great hotel for the location and amenities.

The hotel is nice, but our room had a slight moldy smell during our whole stay. Staff was very friendly and pool and beach area were maintained cleaned. Security was visual at all areas of the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and delicious.

We loved our ocean front, open air feeling, just steps from the beach, bar and dinner. We shopped, explored and shopped. We visited the other property and loved the option! Plus the convenience of COVID Test right at resort was so wonderful, quick and no stress.

The hotel was nice, food was good. We had a pool view which turned out meant the room was across the street from the ocean. I was on crutches so that was a nuisance. The staff was super helpful.

The room was very small and the beds were not very comfortable. It advertised a four-star hotel but I did not think our room was four star. We had a wonderful time it was in an excellent location in the lobby and the restaurant were beautiful and the food was excellent. Also the jacuzzi pool was cold!

Beautiful hotel with sprawling grounds, 3 pools, great swim up bars, family friendly areas. We stayed on the ocean side but I am glad we walked across the street to check out the rest of the hotel grounds and pools!

Gorgeous spot on the beach. The perfect way to end our vacation. Lovely town for walking around and experiencing various restaurants. We also rented a surf board & boogey board for the kids & they did that every day.

very beautiful hotel and very nicely located on the beach; front desk staff very helpful and nice;
next time i would request to be on beach side and to be closer to lobby; so if across the street then i would requeest room 610 or closer ; the staff were great and moved me from room 630 to 610 and that was terrific;
we loved this resort and location as well; i feel for new years they should have offered the midnite champagene to all the guests; they were a bit cheap and asking for some ticket for this; also i feel the hotel should have a hot tub near the beach pool; the restaurant by the beach has very poor service and noone going around to the pool and offering to buy drinks; also they have a very strange towel system; that i found cumbersome; i really dont think this towel system is necessary for such a high quality hotel and also half the tiem noone is even at the towel centre

Beautiful resort and extremely helpful staff. My son was sick during our trip and the hotel staff did everything possible to help us arrange a doctor's visit to make sure he was okay. Our toilet seat was broken in one of the rooms and they replaced it within the hour! (during this busy season)

Lovely hotel and terrific location. They were doing refurbishment works at reception which you informed as in advance. The breakfast was rather poor. The original room we were given wasn't really pool view. We asked to be moved and the hotel was very kind in accommodating us.

Some of the staff were really friendly and other not at all. No hot water. Cold hot tub in pool area. Bar/restaurant closed for a private event one entire night - and they were very loud. Grounds were very nice and location was great. Had 2 ocean front rooms which was great especially since the other side (family side) was dead while we were there. Would have been very boring. Drinks are over priced. Breakfast was great.

The staff was friendly but a little light on English. They are also not very helpful about activities in the area. Weather was very rainy which is not their fault but they had nothing on hand for a rainy day, (deck of cards, game of chess, etc.) Also it was only about 20% occupied so it did not feel much like a resort.

Nice hotel in a fun, busy location. However, the staff was definitely not as friendly as all of our other Costa Rican experiences. Beautiful beach location. We just didn't like the constant peddling and disturbing family time from vendors on the beach and on the streets. That was overwhelming and annoying. They even bothered us while we were on the hotel premises which we were told they aren't allowed to do that.

This hotel was very nice and we loved our ocean views. The location couldn't be beat because we could easily walk to shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet and beachside restaurant had really good food. The beach and ocean were perfect. We always found lounge chairs at the beach and I like that we could be on the grassy lawn and find some shade underneath the trees. The only thing I would change is the room cleaning schedule is in the morning when we were coming back from breakfast and getting ready for our day. I wish it would have been over lunchtime when were sure to be gone everyday.

This place is amazing. We tried to do 2 nights here but would have had to pay for the 3rd night at Wyndham due to the change request with only a days notice. It is nice being right in the middle of everything. The beach. The restaurants. The property is really nice and the gym was better than the other hotels we stayed at. The pool, restaurant and ocean views were simply breathtaking. Loved this place.

We loved this hotel. We had 3rd floor ocean view rooms that were fantastic. The rooms were small, but updated, clean and pretty. We loved the location of this hotel - on the beach and walking distance to so many things.

We were definitely spoiled coming here from Arenal Springs. The hotel was beautiful, but we didn't spend much time in the pool areas as they were located across the street. The one day we did go to a pool, the adults only pool bar was not even open. The staff here was also not very friendly. There were a few that were very nice and helpful, Jaquine in the restaurant and Randall that helped us with bags in particular.
The room was fine, but we were essentially in a basement, as our room backed up to a dirt wall. There were also people that would cut between the back door of our room and the dirt wall. This was very surprising. Especially when you didn't know that was going to happen. It was also loud. We expected that to an extent, but I was expecting more of traffic noise. It was as if the doors were open to the hall at all hours. The street noise was not bad at all compared to the noise coming from the hallway.
Tamarindo is such a cute town, and the hotel was nice, but I think the staff could have been friendlier and we should have not chosen the room that we did.

This hotel was great! Very secure, clean and convenient to everything in downtown Tamarindo. The pools were beautiful, the staff was great, and we loved the breakfast. The only thing we didn't love was that there was a marathon occurring at the hotel while we were there and did not know about it. It was VERY loud. at 2am. There was no chance of sleeping. Fireworks were going off too. The rest of our stay was great, though

Hot tub was just luke warm, needed to be much hotter. Would have been nice to have lawn chairs down by the water that belonged to the hotel that we could enjoy. Appreciated the hotel accommodating our request to have side by side rooms with our kids.

We were in the oldest part of the hotel, the rooms were small, but the views were well worth it. The hotel was gorgeous. We spent a lot of time at the Adults only pool. Special Shout out to the bartender LUIS. This man made the experience perfect. We couldn't have asked for a more attentive activity leader. This man did it all. Sang, made the best drinks, told jokes, ordered our lunches and was a great conversational asset. We love you LUIS!!!!!

we had a pleasant stay and the staff was excellent and enjoyed practicing English. The breakfasts were plentiful. i wish there were screens on our terrace doors so we could open them at night and hear the ocean instead of the traffic.

This is the highlight of the whole trip. It just does not get better! Scenery AMAZING! Accomodation AMAZING! Food AMAZING! The greater "Randall" was the ultimate in Customer Service and so friendly. The pool Bartender was hilarious and so much fun to hang out with. Tons of great shopping, lots to do just hanging around. I am trying to talk our young adult kids to plan their weddings here! I LOVED IT.. LOVED IT!

Good hotel, middle of town, liked that I could order and have my room billed when running around in swim trunks. Room wasn't what we ordered, so we had to make due with two twins, instead of the large single bed we had reserved. That's my only real complaint. Breakfast was pretty good and the food at the varying parts of the hotel (the beachside restaurant and pizza parlor) was pretty good.

We enjoyed exploring the town on foot and the easy beach access. Our room had a wonderful view of the ocean. The room itself was spacious but was a basic hotel room. There were some visible repairs to wall plaster / paint in several places. We enjoyed the balcony. The room key was problematic. This was especially frustrating when we had walked up three flight to our floor. We had to have the keys replaces several times. We enjoyed meals in the restaurants associated with the hotel. Our favourite was the Garden of Eden. We also enjoyed some wonderful meals in other independent restaurants in town. The woman at Guest Services was very helpful We enjoyed the pools and walking the beach.

The only down side to this is that my wife and I stayed here 17 years ago on our honeymoon. We weren't quite prepared for how big the resort had grown in that time and our expectations of a smaller hotel weren't what we found. But 2 days in the new place grew on us and I really came to enjoy it. It still had everything would want in a hotel and we enjoyed the Lagoon pool every afternoon after a morning in the ocean.

This place is un real. So amazing. The lagoon pools are top notch and the beaches and great. The hotel has 6 restaurants connected that are amazing.. This resort is beautiful.. Hands down the sickest spot on the trip.. Worth every penny.. 10/10

Excellent place but you have to stay on the beach side with a view of the beach and sunset. We changed 3 times as it seemed they kept trying to put us in their cheapest, least desirable rooms. You may want to talk to them about giving guest you send them better rooms.

The resort was beautiful and kept immaculately clean. We both came down with traveler's tummy about halfway through our stay in Taramindo so we didn't really get to experience the hotel to the fullest extent.

Of all the hotels we stayed at the staff at this hotel was probably the least friendly, mainly because this hotel is extremely crowded with very long lines to check in. The food was terrible and not of the quality of the other hotels.

This was right on the beach and their restaurant was as well but this was a very hotel and that left the staff distracted. The pool which looks rather large in the photos online was actually quite small and right next to the front desk. This felt a bit awkward so we did not use the pool at this hotel.

Hotel was fine and close to restaurants and boutiques. Chamber maids took an eternity to do up my room even though I was gone early in the morning. Would not go to Taramrindo again as it was too commercial , much like many American resorts and more expensive.

With college age boys, we liked that we were in the town. We walked to various restaurants and enjoyed seeing Tamarindo. When we checked in, Tamarindo Diria Resort only showed we reserved one room. Pacific Trade Winds quickly solved the issue.

It wasn't sparkling clean but it was nice. I didn't know our rooms would be on the other side of the street from the main part of the hotel, but it was fine. I didn't like the birds bothering people at breakfast & the staff wasn't quite as friendly and attentive as the other places. It's a cute little town & the people are nice, but a little pushier than in the other places we had been.

Staff basically ignored us. Room wasn't cleaned one day. The young women at the tour desk were rude and unhelpful. The dining area staff acted like they were too busy to help us. (We asked for water and were ignored and had to help ourselves to necessary tableware --napkins, sugar, salt -- from other tables or service areas.) Because of the poor breakfast service, we chose not to eat at any of their restaurants.

Cant say enough. Room was beautiful. Location great. Pool and beach areas beautiful. Terrific breakfast and restaurants. Pleasant staff-especially at concierge desk. Most beautiful sunsets ever. I would like to highly recommend two restaurants we ate at outside of the hotel in Tamarindo. Seasons by Shlomy at Arco Iris Hotel and Patagonia Argentinian Steakhouse. Both had wonderful food and great atmosphere.

We loved the location of the hotel and our balcony facing the ocean!! But the guestrooms definitely need help. The room wasn't clean. The floor was so dirty and dusty, all the furniture was dusty, the bathroom was uncomfortably tiny and the walls had stains on them. There is no shelf to put any toiletries in the bathroom or shower. The stall shower is so small that you can't even move to wash properly (and impossible for a lady to shave her legs!!!!). There are also no drawers for clothes. They really need to do something about the bathrooms especially. At the very least, put a wall mounted shelf somewhere in there. Regarding the staff, most of them were wonderful! There were a few bartenders that were not at all friendly. But other than those, the staff was nice.

The check in staff really put a wrinkle on my thoughts of the hotel, they were not willing to help out until I reached out to you guys for the king bed.

The only reason I rate this a bit lower is that it is a huge place, very busy and lack the personal touch with guests because of its success. But if we asked for something, they always came through. Loved the location and the family pool is fantastic!

Great hotel, staff, pool, air conditioning, refrigerator, beach. Although there are some vendors on the beach, not overwhelming. There are rocks close to shore so would not try surfing in front of the hotel but a 10 minute walk on the beach gets to a great area.

I enjoyed Tamarindo. The beaches were beautiful. We had lots of trouble with our room keys. Had to keep getting them reprogrammed. The wait staff in the dining area was very poor. You would ask for coffee, milk anything that we needed and they would never come back. I was not impressed with them at all. The cleaning staff was exceptional. The girl cleaning our floor was so helpful with us and the key issues. She was our savior many times.
