Rancho Naturalista Lodge (Naturalist Ranch) is a charming Colonial style eco lodge located on the Caribbean slope in the Talamanca Mountain Range. The large open balcony is the ideal place to observe the countless hummingbirds and the smoking Turrialba Volcano. Hotel amenities include large open dining area, internet access, restaurant walking trails and landscaped gardens, not to mention the welcoming staff and warm atmosphere.
Rancho Naturalista is set in a private forest reserve where over 250 bird species have been documented, making it the ideal place to go bird watching or hike the jungle trails. Photographers will also find limitless subjects here. The surrounding area also offers great white water rafting, butterfly gardens, the interesting Guayabo National Monument, and quaint shops for souvenir shopping.
While at Rancho Naturalista you will have birds singing to you every minute of the day. You will savor delicious fresh meals served family style so you can eat as much or as little as you want. Your stay here includes all three meals each day, and while there is a large variety the friendly staff is happy to accommodate any special dietary requests. You will also delight in the hotel’s own mountain spring water which has been certified for purity and safety.
There are 14 guest rooms in the main lodge and “casitas” located nearby for a little more private stay. All meals are included with all lodging options.
Guest Rooms feature private bathroom with hot water, lamps, and balcony with valley view. Wifi is available in the Lodge’s shared sitting room.
Casitas are 2 bedroom villas with a private bath, hot water, and private veranda to the well maintained gardens. 1 Casita is available with living room as well.
