I wasn’t expecting much from this tour but it was very informative. We had another great guide and learned so much about the plants and process.

This group tour is not on the actual Don Juan coffee plantation (which is closer to Monteverde) but is still a great way to learn about all that goes into making both coffee and chocolate. The grounds have all the plants growing on site with opportunties to spot wildlife (including sloths) along the way. We made our own chocolate, which tasted horrible, but it was still a fun experience. The coffee was delicious and you get to sample as much as you want at the end of the tour. I also got my souvenir Costa Rica T-shirt at their store (“Make Coffee Not War”).
