Overview

This Midworld Canopy and ATV tour in Manuel Antonio combines two dynamic ways to explore the tropical rain forests of Costa Rica.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Quepos or Manual Antonio and driven to the beginning of this fun tour combo. Upon arrival, your bilingual guides will explain which activity you will do first and prepare you for your first adventure.

At the beginning of the zip line tour, your guides will go over safety instructions and help you fit into a high quality safety harness and give you a helmet to wear. Then, your group will hop into the Midworld Adventures truck to go to the first zip line platform. When you see the view, you will likely start to feel the adrenaline pumping you up for your first zip across a series of sturdy steel cables that run high above the tree tops.

There are a total of 9 zip lines, 2 hanging bridges, and 2 rappels, providing a variety of challenges to keep things exciting. These are some of the longest lines in the area and considered one of the safest because of the double cable security feature.

When you step out on to the platform one by one, your guide will securely hook you up to the cables and send you on your way, experiencing the first thrill of flying over the tree tops, gliding across the rainforest. The beginning cables are shorter to prepare you for the more challenging cables to come!

In between activities, your group will have lunch at the main lodge. A typical Costa Rican lunch will be served which may be a delicious and hearty combination of rice, beans, salad and choice of meat or vegetables. Here, you can relax and spend time with your group before heading to your next event.

On this combo tour, you will also go ATV riding either before or after the canopy tour. Your guide will start out giving you driving instructions and then you will go for a test drive to determine if you can ride solo. Or you may prefer to ride together with a friend.

You will drive along Rio Canas (Canas River) passing through primary and secondary rainforests. Your nature guide and outdoor enthusiast will point out any wildlife you may see along your way. You will cross the river and be taken to a “secret” waterfall where you can take excellent photos. As you stop for a break, your guide will furnish fresh tropical fruit and bottled water giving you a chance to go swimming and stretch your legs.

Included in this tour are admission fees, safety equipment, bilingual guides, snack, lunch, bottled water and transportation. The entire tour including round trip transportation takes 5-7 hours, with one way transport taking approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the location of your hotel. You’ll need to wear long pants and enclosed shoes for both the zipline and the ATV ride. In addition, please bring a bathing suit, insect repellent and sunscreen. Ensure that all loose objects you are carrying can be zipped away in pockets or stored in your backpack. Restrictions may apply to people who weigh more than 225 pounds. My second favorite activity! Although I think its mimes advertised with the repelling, there was only one very small repel at the end in order to get off the zipline platform.

Our guide, Kenneth was wonderful. He kept us moving and we always felt safe and cared for. This was an exceptional day and we will recommend it to others.
