Mulguri is an enchanting natural sanctuary where you can harmonize with the splendor of unspoiled nature, far from the urban clamor and vehicle noises. Your journey begins with an experienced and ICT-certified bilingual nature guide, who will navigate you deep into the heart of Costa Rica's lush jungle aboard a rugged 4x4 vehicle. Embark on a picturesque 1-hour ride from Manuel Antonio, passing through quaint local villages, rejuvenating natural springs, and dense rainforests before venturing into the pristine backcountry of Quebrada de Arrollo.

The first stop takes you to a serene pavilion nestled in the midst of nature, complete with clean restrooms, where you can revitalize yourself with tropical fruits and refreshing beverages. Then, an invigorating hike along scenic trails awaits, leading you to the discovery of pristine waterfalls and natural pools. Just before immersing yourself in the crystalline waters, brace for an adrenaline-pumping adventure as you cross a suspended bridge hovering above the cascading waterfalls, offering a breathtaking view of the mountain canopy.

Accessing the waterfalls is an easy descent down steps that leads to a safe and untouched waterfall area, resembling a natural Jacuzzi with various depths to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment. In total, you'll encounter three captivating waterfalls and four natural swimming pools.

After you've cooled off and absorbed the natural beauty, the tour continues with a visit to a self-sustaining farm. Here, you'll savor a mouthwatering traditional Costa Rican lunch, lovingly prepared on a wood stove and served on a charming patio. The property is cocooned by majestic mountains adorned with lush, leafy forests, offering a captivating backdrop right at the mountain's foothills. Good physical condition is required.

The day was wonderful. There was a hanging bridge that needs to be crossed, which I did with a little anxiety. There are a lot of steps down to the first waterfall and those steps need to be traversed back up, which means being in good physical condition. Make sure you bring waterproof footwear or go in the water with your sneakers to save your feet. Our guide was wonderful and friendly. We stopped for lunch at a local family’s farm home with authentic Costa Rican food and it was great. We hardly saw anyone else, which made it feel that much mroe special.

The tour is perfectly fine, and the lunch stop to the farm was really great. However, except for the lunch, it felt the less "costaricain" of the activity, probably because we have similar landscape where we come from.
