Starting at $105 per night

Gear up for a wild ATV adventure ride hitting back roads and private trails outside the Tamarindo area. You’ll be headed through monkey country in this protected tropical dry forest, typical of the Pacific Northwest coastal area. You’ll be crossing rivers and zooming up and down hills while catching stunning ocean and mountain views all in one sensational ride.

Arriving at ATV headquarters, you’ll meet your bilingual guides who will go over safety instructions and give you a helmet to wear. All the ATVs are Hondas so you’ll be riding in style and comfort. Next you’ll receive a demonstration before doing a practice run and be evaluated to determine your ability level. Drivers must be 16 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Children 6 years old and up can ride as a passenger with a parent or guide. Ensuring your safety is their #1 priority.

You’ll head out into a privately owned protected lowland tropical dry forest, endangered worldwide due to the ease of clear cutting, where you’ll see rare Pochote and Teak trees previously over harvested for lumber. These trees provide needed habitat for a variety of native wildlife including the monkeys and exotic birds now making their home here. You’ll ride through the success of the reforestation projects as you traverse these winding forest trails. Your friendly guides will help you spot and identify any animals that may be visible during your visit.

Crossing stream beds and slogging through mud is sure to add to the fun you’ll discover while on this exciting off road adventure. Your guide will be happy to use your camera or cell phone to take videos of you on your epic ride. ATVs allow you to experience everything around you as you travel through these awesome woodland trails.

After about two hours of riding you’ll return to headquarters and be treated to fresh fruit and cold water to wash away any dust in your throat. It’s a good time to share your photos and show that you were born to be wild!

Round trip transportation is provided from the Flamingo area and Tamarindo. Transport times can be up to approximately 45 minutes each way depending on traffic and how far away your lodging is. Also included in this fun half day tour are bilingual guides, entrance fees, Honda ATVs, helmets, water and juice. Time to get your motor movin!

Very safe employees.

Was looking to experience more off roading trails in the tour. we were taking on more only after asking a few times.

Transport van was dated and in disrepair as the driver had to open the sliding passenger door from the (un-paneled) inside of the door through the window. Trip and guide was wonderful

So much fun. We loved it!

We were very disappointed to find out that we 'didn't have time' to offroad at both the jungle and the beach. The guide suggested jungle because the day was warm so we took his advice. Even though we are experienced riders and were the only two people on the trip the guide had us going very slow. The area for riding was small so we did figure eights in the jungle going about 5 mph. If you have small children you would probably think it was okay but it was very boring and not deserving of the word 'adventure'. We did see some howler monkeys and of course the pineapple snack was delicious. Very disappointing.

The transfer to the atv excursion was not good. It smelled and was a mess. Parts of doors missing etc. Once there the guide was great and loved the experience but again this was the ONLY part that was really not good on the whole trip.

This was so much fun. Really enjoyed our tour guide !

Saw no monkeys in the monkey jungle

We didn't really enjoy this tour. We were really making circles in the middle of a woods. Not much to see.

The tour was incredible. It was my first time riding an ATV and I felt safe during the entire time. Our guide took the extra effort to drive us to a hidden viewpoint which was not even included in the itinerary. The helmets had visors which definitely helped in the case that dirt would brush up on our face. Even though I didn't get to see monkeys at our end destination, I had a blast on the tour! Water was included which was not expected.

Guided ATV operating instructions and regard for tourist safety was evident. AAA+

This was fun. I really enjoyed going through the little neighborhoods and seeing all the beautiful people.

Best trip ever!

Our guide was tons of fun!! He took very good care of us!! And he took the time to talk with us. He offered for me to ride with him or my husband or that I could drive my own atv. I was not very excited about this tour as I wear contacts and I was affraid that I would get dirt in my eyes and not be able to see and that I would make others leg behind. Because I rode with the guide it was a wonderful day!!! We came up on this awsome tree and it was full of howler monkeys!!! That was great!!

Had a blast. Everyone should take this tour. We had two choices the beach or the forest. We took the forest route where the riding was more uneven and bumpy.

Wife's first time on an ATV and the guide took extra time to make sure she was comfortable.

We had soooo much fun with the owner! He took us to nice trails and nice beaches! He took his time showing us around! The ATVs were sturdy and felt safe driving them. Would recommend to friends and family!
