Overview

Let’s go sailing for the perfect mix of relaxation, recreation and Nature! Aboard a comfortable 40 foot catamaran, you’ll be wined and dined as you cruise the blue Pacific coastline before dropping anchor at a beautiful secluded bay. Here you’ll enjoy options to snorkel, kayak, paddle board, swim, beachcomb or just laze around on deck. With courteous crew, open bar and delicious meal and snacks, this cruise should provide everything you need to relax and enjoy a perfect time out on the water. Available for both morning and afternoon half day cruises, you might choose to start your day with fresh ocean breezes or catch a spectacular sunset before returning to shore.

To start off you’ll be picked up from your lodging and brought to the beach in Tamarindo. Here you’ll meet your bilingual crew who will help as you wade out in knee deep water to board a skiff that will take you to where the boat is moored.

When you step onto the spacious deck, you’ll discover the added stability of a multi-hull designed sailboat as you leisurely explore the many areas for sunning and lounging as well as the shaded main salon. You’ll also find a clean bathroom onboard. Whether you opt for the Morning Cruise or the Afternoon Sunset Cruise, both include guided snorkeling, a meal and a variety of recreational water activities.

You will be greeted with light snacks including a fresh fruit plate and baked goods with orange juice. After leaving the mooring, the open bar will continually provide you with beverages of your choice. Sailing north for approximately one hour, you can direct your gaze to the shoreline or out to sea. If you want to fish the crew will break out the fishing gear so you can go trolling. You can also ask the captain if you could take a turn sailing the boat.

Depending on current weather conditions, the captain will drop anchor in a secluded cove, choosing the best site for underwater exploration The crew will distribute the well maintained, clean snorkeling gear for those wishing to go on a guided snorkeling expedition.

The underwater world hosts over 70 species of colorful tropical reef fish, puffer fish, moray eels and octopi of assorted sizes, as well as occasional sightings of rays and sea turtles swimming languidly through these pristine aquamarine waters. It is impossible to predict what you will see on any given day but that is part of the fun treasure diving to see what you can find.

Above water you can easily enter the kayaks using the built in stairs leading into the sea off the ship’s stern. Or learn Stand Up Paddling with the help of the crew. Or you may decide to take a swim to the beach where you can walk along and look for shells. Some people like to just stay onboard listening to Latin music, American pop or rock with a cold beer or cocktail, luxuriating in the tranquility of the bay.

You are sure to work up an appetite and the crew will be ready with a meal of freshly made chicken fajitas or arroz con pollo (a typical dish of delicious chicken and rice) plus an assortment of veggies, chips and dip and topped off with homemade banana bread. Afterwards you’ll head back to Tamarindo with a little lively dancing onboard. Along the way you may see dolphins, sea turtles or if you are very lucky, a whale sighting!

If you opted for the Sunset Cruise you can enjoy having Happy Hour as you sail along the coast catching the spectacular rays of the sun setting over the ocean.

We had a very good time. The workers on the boat were very kind and friendly. They kept giving us food, snacks, and drinks including beer. I had a really nice talk with one of them and learned a lot about Costa Rica from him. Unfortunately, they said the waters were too choppy in the area where they usually take us snorkeling, so instead we went swimming, and explored a quiet beach area. Although it was disappointing not to do what we came for, the staff were so friendly and the swimming fun, that we still had a great time.

A nice afternoon sail stopping at a quiet bay where we could swim to shore or snorkel looking for fish. We spotted a number of dolphins swimming nearby. Drinks and a light dinner were provided and we sailed back as the sun set.

Loved walking to our location from resort. Met great people everywhere we went and each experience safe and cautious.We did have a large group of young adults celebrating a birthday. They were fine, a bit drunk and a bit inappropriate with your kids on board, they should have had their own excursion. All in all plenty of space to hang and they were very nice! Beautiful sunny day, swimming and sunset. Water not great for snorkeling, unless you went a bit away near rocky coast. Saw a whale and Mantaray in the distance. Food and drink was great!

Although the snorkeling in Costa Rica isn’t known to be that good, we had a great time. The crew was fantastic and the food was quite good. We saw more than I expected during the snorkeling and sailing back while watching a sunset is unbeatable.

It seemed like too many people were going to be on board at first, but everybody spread out and it was an enjoyable cruise with good opportunities to meet other passengers.

The guide said that we were going to see lots of fish & maybe whales. We saw neither.
Snorkeling was poor. Lunch was ok. Had fun with people on the boat. But overall it was just a long boat ride.

saw some sea turtles. though would be much more sea creatures. guides did the job serving drinks and playing music. lunch was rushed. snorkel equipment not given out generously. staff do good job but feels like just trying to get job over. this is how i felt with most of tours in costa rica and overall with staff at hotels drivers, etc.

The crew were great, they were attentive and friendly and provided music, open bar, pool noodles, life jackets, snorkeling equipment, stand up paddle board, kayaks, etc. Overall, great in terms of trying to provide the best experience. What I was hoping for was for some great snorkeling, which was pretty disappointing. Do not do this excursion for the snorkeling. Do it if you want to be able to go play in some deep water far from shore. The absolute best part about this was that on our way back we go to see some humpback whales coming up to breath, sometimes just around 100 feet off from the boat. This was totally amazing and made the whole trip worth it.

Best part of the trip. Staff was great. We had a blast.

this was a very relaxing tour; in manual antonio we had a boat that had water slides and where kids could jump off the boat and more kayaks and paddle boats; this time we could only snorkel and the equipment could have been better ; ie sometimes the snorkel no attaachment to mask; for example different size fins;
but the crew was super nice and fun; it was relaxing; only one kayak and one paddle board; hard to use for so many people; good music and food was good;

One of the highlights of my trip, this was amazing.

Compared to other catamaran trips from Tamarindo this is a 10, but compared with catamaran trips in other countries it's closer to an 8. The snorkeling isn't great and the boat is aging a bit. But it was still very fun-laid back, friendly, nice lunch, kayaks and paddleboard to use. Perfect timing to see a beautiful sunset as we arrived back at Tamarindo.

Great trip with a fun staff. Open bar was a great surprise and the staff had a nice lunch for everyone on board.

Didn't see a lot of wildlife but it was probably just the time of year.

5 star absolutely amazing!! the staff was incredible. the sites were so amazing. The only issue was Food they ran out towards the end so we only got a little bit, they underestimated gravely the amount of food Americans would eat!! we were trying to be nice and let others go, and we literally got NO meat. But drinks and chips and salsa and rice and beans were perfect!! The staff was so accommodating and let our child steer the boat!!
