Playa Jaco, Costa Rica (Jaco Beach) is one of the closest beaches to Costa Rica's Central Valley, making it a local favorite. It is considered to be an adults playground, and not particularly family friendly. Jaco is known for it's prime surf conditions and festive atmosphere.
Jaco Beach is located on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the Province of Puntarenas. The weather in Jaco is fairly predictable. Weather is best from December through April, during the dry season months. The months of May through November generally experience higher rainfall totals, with the highest amounts received between August through September.

Most visitors to Playa Jaco come for the prime surfing conditions. However, there are many more attractions within a short drive. Among these attractions are Carara National Park, which is just 20 minutes away and Manuel Antonio National Park at only an hour drive south.
