Playa Uvita, Costa Rica (Uvita Beach) is a fairly family friendly beach town. It is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful beach areas of Costa Rica. Uvita is surrounded by jungle lined mountains that soar high up into the clouds. The beach is famous for it's excellent surf conditions. Visitors to this area should know that the beach areas of Uvita are within Ballena National Park. The admission fee is currently $6 per person, per day.
Playa Uvita is located on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the Province of Puntarenas. The weather in Uvita is fairly predictable. Weather is best from December through April, during the dry season months. The months of May through November generally experience higher rainfall totals, with the highest amounts received between August through September.

Many visitors to Uvita come for the awesome surf. There are however, plenty of other activities that can be experienced from this diverse area. The wild and untamed Corcovado National Park can be visited on a day tour. Other attractions include the stunning South Pacific beaches and Diamante Waterfalls, which can be experienced on a day trip or overnight in a cave!
