Dinner at the lodge is a little expensive for something not that special. The location of the lodge was great allowing us to go to the rainforest chocolate tour and play on the rope swing in the river without having to catch a ride. We were also able to walk to the Arenal Oasis Frog sanctuary for a night hike from our hotel.

Great hotel, we had an amazing time. The restaurant had some of the best food we ate during our whole stay. The gardens attract a ton of birds which we spent hours watching. The nature trail in the back is beautiful and makes for a relaxing walk. The only complaint is that the beds were quite hard and uncomfortable and he rooms only had overhead lighting (no bedside lamps). Also they would start the breakfast service earlier to ensure people can eat before their tours. Despite that, I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area, this place is great value for money!

Very nice hotel and staff. Good value for money. We enjoyed the swimming pool area, the breakfast, the view to Arenal ... One suggestion: it is still quite a walk to La Fortuna, hence a shuttle service would be really handy.

Room did not have some amenities that would have made for a better experience- reading lamp, chairs. The landscaping was top notch and attracted lots of birds.

Hostel staff was excellent. However there are room for improvements. there was no phone in the room. so each question required a trip to the reception. reception staff wasn't available at night. we had to request for coffee each time we needed it, by going to reception. Bathroom could have a place to hold the clothes, to make dress change easier. Food from the restaurant was exceptional. only minor suggestions to make it an exceptional experience.

Great value for our money. Great view of Arenal Volcano. Great proxi.ity to Volcano Park, LA Fortuna town, and other places of interest.

This is a nice hotel. The room was large enough and we appreciated having a balcony facing the volcano.
