The Casa Batsu was outstanding. The owners, Carlos and Paula, were outstanding hosts. Everything was very clean and the gardens were beautiful. The breakfast each morning was filling and delicious. The coffee , snacks and fresh fruit were available during the day. Carlos recommended a restaurant and then gave us a ride into town one evening. He was so gracious to sit and talk to use about the geography and culture of the area.

delicious breakfasts and beautiful rooms/facility. We took a hike on the farm's grounds and saw horses, a toucan, leaf-cutter ants, banana trees, coffee plants, and so much more.

Our favorite accommodation of the trip! Carlos is the perfect host. Only three rooms, so very intimate. Walking distance to town, but out in the country enough to be private. It even has its own nature trail!

Casa Batsu was fantastic, a very nice place to stay. However, we were greeted by a wet muddy dog that jumped on us and stole our shoes (the owner's dog) and a woman who didn't speak English and had to put us on the phone with the owner (the owner's mother). Breakfast was very tasty but some options to meet a healthy diet would have been nice. Having a way to get in touch with hotel staff would have been good as well, at several points we needed help but there was no way to reach the staff.
