Today’s fun and fascinating full day tour will take you into the mountains by bus to a local farm at the base of the Miravalles Volcano where you will begin to see geyser fields. Next you will go by horseback or horse drawn carriage up the volcano to the beginning of an easy guided hike to observe bubbling mud and steam vents, stopping to enjoy several scenic mountain waterfalls. Then you can immerse yourself in the natural woodland hot springs and mud baths breathing in the mountain air surrounded by lush tropical foliage. Afterwards you’ll be treated to a hearty Costa Rican traditional meal before boarding the bus to head back through the mountains to your hotel. Note that one way transport times from El Jobo can take up to 3 hours, other locations between 1 and 2.5 hours depending upon which area you are staying.

Here you can sauna, soak, and paint your partner with mud. Transportation included locally in Rincon de la Vieja (30 minutes), from as far away as the Jobo area in the interior, and from the beach areas of Tamarindo, Papagayo, Flamingo and Playa Grande (plan on up to 2 hours travel time each way). A new set of cables and platforms crossing over and beyond canyons and forests, involving a ¼ mile hike thru the primary forest. This canopy consists of 12 platforms and 7 cables distances from 300 feet to 1155 feet in length with approximate heights to 120 to 300 ft. You will have the opportunity to relax and take some pictures at some strategic points with spectacular views of the Papagayo Gulf, the amazing mountain hills, majestic Rincón de la Vieja Volcano and in winter time view the beautiful view waterfall “El Cañón". At the end of the canopy get ready for more adrenaline with our Tarzan Swing, which is properly fitted for our clients, once ready get ready to make a free fall, suspended at an approximate height of 150 feet. Palo Verde National Park and Lunch

Today you will go on the Palo Verde National Park tour. Palo Verde is a bird watcher's paradise as it is known to have highest concentration of migratory birds in Central America. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the park where you will step onboard a covered riverboat that will take you out to Bird Island in the Tempisque River. Your guide will help you spot and identify many species of birds as well as any other visible wildlife on the day of your visit. This tour includes a professional bilingual nature guide, park entrance fee, boat tour, drinks and transportation from Flamingo, Riu, Tamarindo and the Papagayo area. One-way transportation by air-conditioned bus can take between 1 and 2 hours from your hotel to the National Park depending upon your pick-up location. The combined time of this tour with round-trip transportation can take between 5.5 and 7.5 hours. You will likely be most comfortable wearing lightweight clothing plus bring rain gear in the rainy seasons. It is also recommended to bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a camera, and binoculars for up-close viewing.

You will then be on your way crashing and splashing through class III and IV rapids. The Rio Tenorio is an excellent river for those who have whitewater rafting experience or are in strong physical condition. This tour provides transportation from Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Jobo, Riu and the Flamingo and Papagayo areas. Also included are your certified safety kayaker guides, rafting equipment, snack, bottled water and lunch. One way transport can take between 1.5 to 2.5 hours to get to the river depending on your hotel location. Note that drive times to the tour from El Jobo can be considerable (disregard of staying in other areas).
