Bocas del Toro offers visitors a wide variety of water sports including scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, and water skiing. Coral reefs are everywhere, and there are plenty of beaches to relax on.

Snorkeling is the most popular activity among visitors. The best places for snorkeling are in the Admiral Bay, where the coral reefs are more protected and waters are very calm and clear. Hospital Point and The Garden are some of the most notable scuba diving sites. The coral reefs in this area drop to about 60 feet deep with sharks, rays, sea turtles and various tropical fish all common.

Aside from water sports, trekking is another popular activity. There are trails to accommodate hikers of all ages and abilities. Visitors can choose to take the difficult trail between Bahia Honda and the lagoon in the Marine Park or just take the easy walk of the Red Frog or Zapatillas Cays trails.
