Surf Lesson at Carrillo Beach

On this combination Kayaking and Snorkeling Tour to Chora Island you’ll be picked up from your hotel and brought to the beach at the town of Samara. With the help of your bilingual guide you will paddle by sea kayaks out to Isla Chora where you can disembark and go snorkeling to observe the extraordinary marine life below. Depending on visibility you may stop at a coral reef on your way to the island as well. Transportation is included from Samara, Nosara and Punta Islita. One way transportation can take up to 45 minutes depending upon your pick up location. Total time for the tour including transportation is approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours, again depending upon the pick up location of your hotel. This park is one of the least visited parks in Costa Rica by tourism, but one of the most commonly frequented by wildlife. A boat tour in this national park is a great way for nature lovers to search out the abundant wildlife and wading birds concentrated in this area. You will venture by covered boat on the Tempisque River and pass by Isla de Pajaros, a small island in the middle of the river where many species of water birds congregate. After the boat ride you will be treated to a hearty lunch and drinks.
