Overview

The Cano Island and Snorkeling adventure with Bahia Aventuras is a wonderful way to observe the abundant marine life surrounding an offshore protected tropical island and its reefs. Cano Island is located 15 kilometers off the south Pacific coast and was utilized by Pre-Columbian indigenous people as a sacred burial area. The island is managed by the government and is off limits to explore. The day starts off with a boat ride out to Cano Island. Upon arrival we will snorkel for an hour and then enjoy a pack lunch. This full day tour includes guide, park entrance, and lunch.

Saw lots of fish, even two sharks!

Not sure why, but I was expecting a bigger boat. I enjoyed the snorkeling. I had hoped to get on the island and hike to see the granite spheres but only those who didn't want to snorkel anymore might have had an opportunity to do that. Lunch was good.

5 hours of driving in boat for 40 minutes of swimming not great. nice guides, good lunch but too much sitting

unfortunately , the water was not clear that day and snorkeling was disappointing . not the fault of ay guides, just the way it turned out after a long boat ride

This was a terrific tour. The guide (don't remember his name) was great, fun boat ride. Snorkelling was handled well with two guides. Appreciated the effort they made to find good areas, and kept us informed as they searched around for the best spots. The beach lunch was at a great spot.

This was an enjoyable day, but I was disappointed by the murky water (not the guides' fault, obviously). My husband's equipment did not fit well and the guide swam off without making sure everyone was comfortable snorkeling. It was not a good experience for my husband, but I did enjoy the day.
