Tubing on the Rio Arenal is an awesome adventure! The adventure starts off with a 15 minute hike to the river where you arrive at the Maleku Villa. Here you will receive an introduction in to their culture, traditions and medicine. After this you will hike for another 10 minutes to the river. Here the tube riding starts through the incredibly beautiful canyon of the Rio Arenal on class I, II and a few class III rapids. Upon request to your guide, arrangements to stay at the resort to enjoy the hot springs pools can be made. Keep in mind that you are responsible to make this request on the day of the tour before leaving the resort. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, guides, and equipment.

Today you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken whitewater rafting down the famous Pacuare River. Your guide and safety kayaker will go over safety instructions and show you how to use all equipment. You’ll be paddling 18 kilometers downstream encountering over 50 Class lll and Class lV rapids, going through steep rock faces and passing a 150 foot waterfall. At the end you will have a chance to take a shower and change into dry clothes. Lunch will then be provided before the trip back to your hotel. This tour includes bilingual rafting guides, high quality equipment, lunch, as well as transportation from Alajuela, Cahuita, Escazu, Puerto Viejo and San Jose.
