Overview

Today you can mix it up with some of the best adventures Costa Rica has to offer including: zip lining, a Tarzan swing, hanging bridges, rappelling, waterfalls, rock wall climbing, horseback riding, hot springs, sauna, mud bath and a delicious traditional hot meal. All in one amazing day!

Arriving by the provided transportation, you will be met by your certified, professional bilingual guides who will introduce you to the thrill of ziplining. After safety instructions you will be helped into a harness for this aerial exploit as you become familiar with the use of the zip line equipment. Galvanized stainless steel cables will safely transport you for approximately 3 kilometers, traveling up to speeds of 60 kilometers per hours.

Five of the twelve platforms were strategically built so you can land in the most extraordinary trees as well as zipping over the gorgeous forest canopy. Bring your camera to photograph the awesome scenery from your unique tree top vantage point or while walking on the hanging bridges.

Next you’ll have the chance to be connected to a secure elastic rope where you can feel the adrenaline as you freely swing through the forest in the wildly popular Tarzan swing.

Your helpful guides will then assist as you discover the exhilarating experience of rappelling the waterfalls using bolted down ferrata safety cables. Last but not least of your morning activities will be climbing a challenging 20 meter rock wall.

Now you should be ready for a Costa Rican “typical” meal, which includes a variety of delicious locally prepared traditional foods.

After lunch, you can choose to hike or go by horseback to the waterfalls. Either way you’ll be traversing through tropical forests and open meadows, completely surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Topping off the day, you’ll return to the Colorado River where you can enjoy soaking in volcano heated hot pools and immersing yourself in natural mineralized mud. Here by the river, there are changing rooms and an assistant who will show you the spa and sauna area, where you might want to spend a few minutes to open your pores, before covering yourself in the mineral rich clay mud.

If you want you can playfully paint your partner using pots of mud, wait for it to dry, then shower clean before luxuriating in the hot spring waters. Your energy infused muscles will thank you for the chance to lay back and relax after an exciting adventure filled day.

Round trip transportation is included locally from Rincon de la Vieja, from the beach areas of Flamingo, Papagayo, Playa Grande and Tamarindo, as well as from the interior Jobo area. Depending on the distance to your hotel, transportation time can vary from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Certain activities have a weight restriction of 200 pounds. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or if you have back problems. Minimum age for children is 8 years old.

During the high season, from mid December to the first of April, the tour operates only on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. From the first of April to mid December, there are tours every day except Mondays, because the National Park closes on this day.

In addition to air conditioned transportation, this tour includes: certified guides, entrance fees, hot lunch, water, fruit juice and all activity related equipment.
