There are no shuttle companies that pick up at the airport. Private transfers are recommended as they will pick you up based on your flight itinerary. The next best thing is to meet the shuttle company at a nearby hotel. From SJO, the closest pickup location is the Holiday Inn, which is a few minutes away by taxi cab. The cab will cost around $5. From LIR, the closest hotel is the Garden Inn and then cab will cost around $6. There are not many options for afternoon shuttle transfers. Most of them run between 12 PM – 2 PM. If you are delayed, you will forfeit your money as a no-show.
