Tamarindo is a fun seaside village with lots of things to do. It lines the long stretch of beach which has both safe swimming areas and locations ideal for surfing. The busy streets of Tamarindo are filled with unique shops, ocean front restaurants and bars, often offering live music. Jardin del Eden is within walking distance to all of this and only 100 meters from their own private beach garden, accessible via a groomed path from the hotel.
Aside from swimming, surfing, and shopping, there are plenty of activities available in Tamarindo. Adventurers can take surf lessons or go on a thrilling canopy zipline adventure. A catamaran cruise provides an opportunity to get out on the water and take in the scenic Guanacaste coastline. Scuba diving at the nearby Catalinas Islands is outstanding during dry season. If you prefer nature activities, you can go on a riverboat safari at Palo Verde National Park. These and many other exciting tours can fill your days with amazing experiences and memories.

The hotel's La Plumeria Restaurant serves an excellent selection of international dishes. A delicious complimentary breakfast and dinner is included with your stay. Light snack-style lunches including appetizers and salads can be purchased during midday. Breakfast is buffet style while the dinner menu options change daily and include an appetizer, main course, plus dessert.
The 42 rooms at the Jardin del Eden Hotel are tastefully decorated in tropical themes. All offer a king size bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, coffee maker, mini-refrigerator, safe deposit box, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, and WiFi.
Superior Rooms offer a terrace view of lush tropical gardens. Premium rooms, higher up, have a balcony with blended garden and ocean views. Premium Plus rooms are slightly larger than the previous room styles and also higher in elevation. These rooms offer garden and ocean views from the Tamarindo hillside. The Romantic Garden rooms each have a private garden with private Jacuzzi for romantic escapes. The secluded Romantic Terrace and Romantic Star rooms are also surrounded by tropical gardens with private outdoor Jacuzzis. The Grand Vista room provides a spectacular panoramic view of Tamarindo Bay from its private balcony and outdoor Jacuzzi.
It all adds up to a great romantic beach vacation hotel for couples!

Loved the views from the room. The restaurant was excellent in food quality and taste along with exceptional service.

This was a more upmarket hotel and had a beautiful pool and gardens. We also loved the secret passage to the garden by the beach and the bedroom was nicely decorated. However the maid service was minimal and the reception staff were more aloof. For example out itinerary said we could book in at 2 and vacate at noon. Our coach got us to the hotel just before 2 and we had been traveling for several hours so we're keen to unpack and relax. However we were told check in was at 3 and that we should have known that. Did not make us feel very welcome as a result. In respect of the maid service had the bins not been emptied we would not have known anyone had been in our room. We always make our beds but in the other hotels they were always remade often with towel or flower decorations. Glasses/ mugs were washed up. Towels straightened etc. This did not happen here and both our bath mat and one of two hand towels were taken and not replaced and the shower two days running was not clean. I did mention it go re ration but they did not seem interested . A pity as its a beautiful hotel and their breakfasts and lunchtime snacks were really good though restaurant prices for the evening meal were far more expensive

Hotel was at great location - 10 stars. But the rest, not so much. There is definitely room for improvement starting from Customer service, food at hotel restaurant, room staff, room layout etc. We loved Tamarindo and if we have a chance to go back here for our vacation we will choose different hotel.

Phone in room did not work at any time; water was out of service for hours; hotel cancelled all charges for extras which excellent
