Overview

Today’s adventure is an opportunity to encounter and observe several species of dolphins and whales in the warm, tropical waters of the Pacific Ocean. You will need to go off of the coast of the Osa Peninsula to begin this tour. There you will meet your professional guide and boat captain before boarding an open boat to go looking in likely areas for several species of dolphin as well as for whales. It is possible to spot a whale year round but it is more likely to see them during their migration months between August and October and again between December and March. You may also encounter manta rays and giant sea turtles. Tour times are tide dependent and will be determined at booking. This tour includes boat transportation, certified, bilingual guide, fresh fruit and cookie snacks, natural fruit juice and bottled water. The entire experience can take from 4 to 6 hours depending on how far out the boat has to travel before spotting the mammals. You may be exposed to a great deal of sun. Please wear lightweight protective clothing, hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. You’ll likely want to have your binoculars and camera to capture up close memories of the day. If you are susceptible to sea sickness, it is recommended that you take a non-drowsy motion sickness medicine the night before. This is the ultimate opportunity to connect with these magnificent animals and share the experience with friends and family.
