The first impression of the hotel is a let-down. It looks run-down. But once we checked in and went to the bar and beach, we realized what a value it was!

A bit far from other restaurants, shops, etc.

Lovely hotel. Perfect location to get the mixture of quiet and beach. Close enough to two towns to access easily.

Only the person at reception on arrival was not too helpful, otherwise great

The frontbeach rooms are quite nice (I upgraded this hotel).
The standard rooms are very close to the main road and are very noisy.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. All of the staff was great. The room was simple but very clean and functional. The property is beautiful and the access to the beach was perfect.

We enjoyed staying on the beach side of the road and were able to see the ocean from our 3rd floor balcony. Upon arrival, we were greeted by monkeys which was exciting. We did eat in the restaurant 2 nights.and liked the food. The breakfast was great to have.

Although this hotel was good I think it was probably because we upgraded to a beach room when we arrived as the standard rooms are directly overlooking the main road to the national park. Food very expensive and only ok but great location

Great location, we were on the beach side. So going for morning walks on the beach were easy, breakfast were great. Again having so many animals - monkeys, iguana's crabs, lizards and others was really awesome.

We loved Hotel Karahe; the room, the staff, the beach and the restaurant were all wonderful. Being on the beach was the best.

The view was spectacular from our room, the only drawback was all the stairs to climb to get to it.

This was a great hotel with a wonderful on-site restaurant with good food. It has great beach access, friendly staff willing to help any way they can and nice rooms. The only reason it did not receive all 10's was the layout of the hotel. We stayed in one of the rooms on the hill, the office was at mid-level of the property and the restaurant and beach access were at the bottom of the hill, including a very dangerous run across the main street at a curve to reach the lower amenities. It made getting to our room difficult after eating.

The best part was the proximity to a beautiful beach. The next best was ERICA! The rooms size was good and recently updated third floor was well done. The restaurant staff was very pleasant. The restaurant quality was very good. We were a bit taken aback upon arrival, when we were not greeted and upon entering the room, seeing no phone and no way to contact staff, no place to put our personal items or no luggage racks. There were two small bedside tables, but no dresser and no luggage racks. The safe was not connected to the wall and could have been easily carried away and left unused. I hope they did not charge for that or the pool towels. All in all a great place with just a few tweaks to increase the ratings. We are very happy we were at Karahe instead of the Falls. While we did not see the Falls, without a car, it would have been very inconvenient to the flexible go to the beach goal.
