Part of Papaya Bungalows, the adults-only accommodation is made for a stay as a couple: a queen-size bed inside, room to enjoy the view outside and a quieter pace above the surrounding landscape. Opened in May 2023, it pairs a modern interior with the privacy of its hilltop position.

A morning here can begin simply, with coffee made in the kitchenette and a little time on the terrace before you decide where to go. The small fridge and microwave make light meals practical, while air conditioning and Wi-Fi bring everyday comfort to the hilltop setting. You have a place to return to without needing every meal or free hour to be an outing.

La Fortuna is about a 30-minute drive away, opening up restaurants, shops and cultural experiences when you want a change from the bungalow's privacy.

The approach is part of the planning: a 4WD vehicle is recommended for the short but steep hill leading to the bungalow. Choose the accommodation with that access in mind, especially if you intend to head out frequently.
