The staff was always very helpful but not super friendly. They did help us with our laundry and arranging a shuttle to Poco a Poco to use the pool. Breakfast was always very good. There was some kind of pole or metal that banged against the outside of our wall every night...we should have said something after the first night but we did not. It was a beautiful hotel, though, and our room was otherwise very comfortable.
The staff and service was outstanding. We appreciated the setting and loved being able to walk into town and explore.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The family suites were perfect. The breakfast al la carte was amazing. The coffee was delicious. The location was ideal walking to the town and the sister hotel pool was beautiful!

We loved this hotel. It was within walking distance to several nice restaurants/sodas and to the central Santa Elana area. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed the shuttle to use the pool at Hotel Poco a Poco.

Room was beautiful and the views form the decks are amazing. the outdoor firepit was a nice touch and the breakfast was very good. the staff were excellent.

This was a lovely hotel -- notwithstanding that on our arrival at 2 pm they said our room was not ready until 3 pm. That was a disappointment. However, I was quite delighted when we did get into our room, that the staff had a balloon bouquet, lovely birthday card and tray of chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate my birthday. Quite a lovely surprise. Great restaurant.

The restaurant offers delicious food. Although the Sibu Lodge does not have a swimming pool or spa, its sister lodge, Hotel Poco a Poco, grants access to a sheltered oasis featuring a pool with a swim-up bar and a jacuzzi.

I loved the hotel. The ability to go to the sister hotel makes the value. I think without that, it might have been less enjoyable. We went to the pool on one of the days and that was great! The staff at all aspects of both hotels were wonderful. The art work at both hotels was also wonderful!

Monteverde is a small town and very walkable. This motel is just a gem and was perfect for us. Few blocks to the right to the brewery, few blocks to the left to downtown and shopping. They even have a restaurant up in a tree, cool stuff. One other place I would like to mention is the Zipline 100% Aventura Adventure Park. This is got to be a must do place. The ziplines were great then they go on to the superman zipline which you are parallel to the cable looking straight down, one was about 1 mile long. Last but not least is the tarzan swing, THIS IS ONE OF THOSE IF YOU ARE CRAZY IT HELPS THINGS. I saw my kids do it, then the people in front of me backed out, then it was my turn, like jumping off the roof of a building, just before you hit the ground it turns into a swing. TRULY ONE OF THE SCARIEST THINGS I HAVE DONE IN MY LIFE AND I LOVED IT> Plus they only charge 25 dollars for a family picture package.

Another charming boutique hotel, with lovely grounds and great staff. Location is really nice - close enough to walk to restaurants, shops, etc. but very quiet. Nice breakfast to order. Happy hour was made even more pleasant by Anthony and Laura, both excellent at concocting cocktails! The Sabor Tico restaurant nearby was great.

The Lodge was very nice. Friendly staff with an excellent breakfast. The breakfast bagel was our favourite of the trip..... having the use of the pool in the sister hotel was great as we had a nice relaxing day there.
