Hard to communicate. We don't speak Spanish. Outside the hotel many local people speak English. On the building we stayed, there is a pump which periodically is turning on and off. The noise level is not very high but annoying.

Villa Acacia offers a smaller garden stay in Playa Hermosa, with the beach a few minutes’ walk away and a pool for time at the hotel. Superior Rooms include breakfast; villas have fully equipped kitchens for independent meals. The cozy boutique setting suits couples and families with slightly older children.
Garden views and a smaller, boutique atmosphere shape a stay at Villa Acacia Beach and Garden Hotel in Playa Hermosa. The pool offers a welcome pause between days along the Guanacaste coast, and the choice of a room or a villa lets you decide how independently you want to spend your time.
A Superior Room keeps the stay simple, with breakfast, air conditioning, satellite television and a garden outlook. A villa adds a fully equipped kitchen, satellite television and a garden view to its air-conditioned interior, a useful distinction for travelers who enjoy preparing a meal themselves. Couples and families with slightly older children can choose around that difference rather than room size alone.
There is time to slow down here, with a Jacuzzi, restaurant and bar as well as the swimming pool. Wireless internet, a meeting room and a souvenir shop round out the facilities. The beach is a few minutes’ walk away, and proximity to Liberia International Airport makes Playa Hermosa a convenient place to begin or end a Guanacaste stay.
On more active days, the surrounding area brings kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing and boating into the itinerary. Birdwatching and wildlife tours add a different perspective on the coast. Return to the gardens when you have had enough adventure for one day; this hotel’s charm lies in having a comfortable, modestly scaled place to come back to.

The bungalow was perfect for our family. Enjoyed being able to walk a couple minutes to the beach

We have stayed at this hotel before so we knew what to expect. The grounds are nice and the beach is only a few minutes walk down the road. The staff is friendly. Similar to last time, the bungalow was really cool but could use a little updating. They were working on another room while we were there and the staff showed us another room which had just been updated. Some of the rooms are not bungalows. They were smaller and I probably wouldn't recommend them. The bungalows are larger and have a basic kitchen area. This isn't a luxury hotel but more than adequate for a beach bungalow.
