By far the most awesome place I have ever stayed at. I will stay there again for sure. I spent 11 hours a day on average in pool

The JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort and Spa offers a hacienda-style retreat on the shores of secluded Playa Mansita. Guests can enjoy an expansive infinity pool overlooking the Pacific, diverse dining options from beachfront restaurants to international bars, and a full-service spa. Accommodations include spacious rooms and one-bedroom suites, each featuring a balcony or terrace with choices of garden, pool, ocean-view, or oceanfront settings, ensuring a tailored experience for every traveler.
At JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort and Spa, Playa Mansita and the Pacific give a resort day its backdrop. Hacienda-style accommodation, an expansive infinity pool and places to dine encourage you to enjoy the coast without rushing away from it. The pleasure here is having enough on site to let the day unfold: a swim, time at the spa, a meal, then another look toward the water.
Spacious rooms and suites combine plush furnishings with balconies or terraces. The accommodation choices span garden, pool, ocean-view and oceanfront settings, so the view is a decision to make when booking rather than something to assume across the resort. One-bedroom suites add room to spread out, with living space that can be welcome on a longer stay.
For a family vacation or time away as a couple, that variety lets you shape the hotel experience around your party. Choose a garden outlook for greenery, a pool-facing room for the resort setting, or an ocean-oriented category when the Pacific is central to what you want from the stay. Keep the detailed room information close at hand as you compare.
The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is a natural focus for leisurely hours. Follow a swim with time to relax, or make room for a spa treatment between outings. Dining moves from fresh local flavors at beachfront restaurants to international dishes and drinks at the bars, giving evenings a different rhythm from the daytime pool and beach routine.
Playa Mansita brings the shoreline into the stay, with time for beach walks and sunset views. Beyond the grounds, Guanacaste adds opportunities for surfing, horseback riding and golf. Tamarindo’s nightlife offers another way to spend an evening when you want a change of scene.
The resort works well for travelers who want their hotel to occupy a generous part of the itinerary. Explore when the mood takes you, then return to the hacienda setting, a meal and the ocean outlook. There is no need to fill every hour to enjoy this part of Costa Rica.
Beach access at secluded Playa Mansita is reserved for resort guests. Walk along the shore, enjoy time on the sand and stay for the sunset views.

Resort appeared to need a facelift! Looking rather old! Not typical of J.W. Marriott Resorts we have stayed in! Food was pricing and fair! Resort too remote!

The Marriott was nice but was a bit secluded from any destination and the ocean was not accessible due to rip tide. After staying at Nayara the Marriott really cant get a fair review from me being more on the active side my wife and I felt like we were stranded on a cruise ship during our stay (this is not a reflection of the resort or staff).
The resort offers spacious rooms and one-bedroom suites, all featuring balconies or terraces. Guests can choose from garden, pool, ocean-view, or oceanfront settings to suit their preference.
Dining options range from fresh local flavors at beachfront restaurants to international dishes and drinks served at the resort's bars, providing a variety of culinary experiences without leaving the property.
