At the beginning of the tour, you’ll be picked up at your Quepos or Manual Antonio hotel and driven to the zip lining office where your guides will greet you. Safety rules will be explained before you will be fitted with a high-end safety harness and given a helmet to wear. When you are all suited up, you will hop into a Midworld truck to be transported up to the ziplines.

Midworld is located on a large property comprised of a few thousands acres surrounded by both primary and secondary rainforest. Taking great care in the placement of the ziplining platforms, this company focuses on conserving the natural habitats and ecosystem for all to enjoy. Your adventurous guides double as nature enthusiasts who will help you identify any wildlife that might be visible on the day of your visit.

In total, there are 9 zip line cables of varying lengths and heights. You’ll start out on shorter and lower lines before gradually making your way up to some of the longest lines in the area. One by one, you’ll step onto the wooden platforms high above the forest floor. Your guide will securely attach you to the cable and gently send you on your way, gliding high above the forest floor and across the tree canopy. Even though you’ll be going super fast, there is still enough time to look around and see the stunning views of the surrounding rainforest.

When you approach the end of each zipline, there will be a guide waiting to slow you down, unbuckle your harness from the cable and give you a high five!

While mostly focused upon ziplining, this canopy tour also offers you the experience of harnessed walks across high hanging bridges plus two different guided rappels. These activities will invite you to test and extend your limits while discovering the beauty of the Costa Rica’s incredible rainforest.

After your adventure you’ll head to an on-site restaurant to eat a delicious meal of local cuisine and enjoy a refreshing beverage. Then it will be time to be taken back to your hotel.

The Midworld Canopy Ziplining Tour includes transportation, professional bilingual guides, safety equipment, and lunch. The total time it takes to complete this tour including round trip transportation is 5 to 7 hours. One way transport from Quepos and Manual Antonio hotels takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Please wear long pants, enclosed shoes and make sure loose objects can be zipped up inside you pockets or put into a backpack. Restrictions may apply to those who weighing more than 225 pounds. Children as young as 4 years old can take this tour.
